Spot it Small:
How to restore San Diego's native habitat, one weed at a time
Learn how to make an impact, whether volunteering, gardening, or removing invasive weeds on your daily walk!
Why Every Small Action Matters
Invasive plants are the silent infiltrators of our natural landscape. They grow aggressively, harm native wildlife, and dry up into perfect fuel for wildfires. Their thirsty roots drain watersheds, harming our economy and communities. While several government agencies work hard to prevent this, they can't be everywhere at once.
That's where we come in. By working together as a community, we can catch these plants when they are still tiny sprouts. Cutting down a mature tree takes thousands of dollars and heavy equipment, but pulling a baby weed takes 5 seconds. Together, we can create a massive shield of safety across San Diego.
